The recommended supply list for the Add-On Oil Painting and Cold Wax Workshop:
-Suggested Oil Paint Colors: Indian yellow, Burnt Sienna, Phthalo Blue, Alizarin Crimson, and Titanium White (You may use any brand you wish. I use Lukas Studio Oil colors from Jerry’s Artarama)
-Dorland’s Cold Wax Medium (if you can’t get cold wax, you can still join in this workshop)
-Brush Cleaning Tank (I use Silicoil, but anything similar will be fine)
-Gamsol or Turpenoid Odorless Mineral Spirits (please use odorless mineral spirits for your health)
-Brushes
-Oil painting palette (i use a glass palette, old picture frames make great palettes because you can mix on the glass)…a last resort can be paper plates
-Palette knife (for mixing paint and scrape the wax on your canvas)
-Paint rags or paper towels
-Gloves (optional)
-Easel or flat painting surface you can make a mess at
-A well ventilated environment to paint at
-Paint clothes or apron to wear if you wish to not ruin clothing
-Completed acrylic tree painting from the Free Quarantine Workshop (we will be oil painting on top of this as a finishing layer)
-A copy of the new tree photo for you to look at while we paint (you can use a printout or look at your iPad, tablet, phone, etc.)
*Get the supplies you need ASAP, so you will have them in time for this workshop....Also, supplies are getting harder to find. If you have a lot of supplies already, and can’t afford all this stuff. Private message me, and we can discuss substitutions.
